The PIM Principles in Action can be used in a number of ways, for example that the design or the implementation of a new IM system, is done in a principled way, or to ensure a minimum level of principled action overall- from both a protection and information management perspective.

Or the Principles in Action could be applied while referring to specific steps within the PIM Process, which would work to support principled action throughout the cycle of a IM system or protection response.
